Intramural Program OVERVIEW
The CRUSA Intramural program is for U4-U19 Boys & Girls who are interested in recreational play. The goals of the Intramural program are to develop an interest in soccer, introduce basic soccer skills and have fun! At the younger ages, the emphasis should be exclusively on having fun, learning the basics of the game and getting all players involved in the game. As players get older, having fun is still the number one priority but keeping score and having referees become part of the routine. All players and parents are reminded that player development and enjoying the game are what intramural is all about. Always support and cheer your child’s effort and involvement and not just the results. Our U14-U19 age groups will play inter-club play vs teams from Hulmeville area and have some games on our home fields and some games away at Herbert Hoover Elementary School. Their season will run April and May and games will mostly be on Saturdays with a few Sundays thrown in.
Overview of Intramural program:
Fall Soccer
Games start the first Saturday after Labor Day.
Spring Soccer
Games are scheduled to start in late March or early April (weather dependent).
Coaches
CRUSA relies on volunteers to coach Intramural teams. The intramural program is the largest program within CRUSA. Approximately 1,100 children play in the fall season and approximately 800 children play in the spring season. Therefore, the need for coaches is substantial. Training is provided for coaches prior to and during each season. CRUSA welcomes new and experienced coaches into the Intramural Program. Volunteer Background Check Process
